Became Phius CORE Design Certified in January 2023

Design certification means that the building plans comply with the rigorous energy standards that Phius requires to certify a building as passive house. This is a major hurdle in getting the building fully certified, which is achieved through real-world testing once the building is complete. 

Groundbreaking October 2022

Solebury School is thrilled to break ground on Hope Hall, our state-of-the-art dormitory set to open in fall 2023. A new standard in sustainable living and building on our campus, Hope Hall is a Passive House design and construction–the first one in Bucks County–and incorporates sustainable materials. Guests learned the name of the building, toured campus sites, and learned more about additional campus infrastructure improvements funded by this campaign.
